A city that's full of colors, lights, sounds, materials, and art. And now, to celebrate and honor the city vibe, the social media app TikTok has opened its offices in New York with an interior design that's inspired by the city. Installing a huge lobby LED video wall and LED tubes that emulate city subway maps.
After the app's success during the last couple of years, the company decided to expand into Manhattan on a space of 150,000 square feet for 1,000 workers across the five top floors of the 58-floor H&M tower. This project was designed by Gensler, a global architecture, design, and planning firm with 53 locations across Asia, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and the Americas.
Thanks to Gensler's creativity and Tiktok inspiration, the office space was completely transformed and reenvisioned with LED panels in colors and graphic elements that represent New York culture at its best: such as the pizza, yellow cabs, and the Statue of Liberty. And for comic fans, a must-stop is their coffee shop, in which employees will be able to order their food surrounded by a LED tube abstracting subway map and climbing ropes referencing Spider-Man behind the servery counter.
