New Ultravision Digital Billboard Lights Up Glasgow’s ‘Style Mile’

DALLAS – July 25, 2018 – Ultravision, a leading innovator, manufacturer and distributor of LED displays and LED lighting, today announced the installation of a major new LED digital billboard on Argyle Street at the heart of Glasgow’s ‘Style Mile’ in Scotland.

Measuring 5.49 meters by 3.66 meters, the high-resolution LED display is one of the largest in Glasgow’s famous shopping district and replaced what used to be a static billboard. It’s placed in a premier location to attract the attention of commuters, with three train stations within walking distance of the billboard, including Glasgow Central which saw 32 million passengers last year.

The installation was completed by leading Out of Home media Clear Channel UK as part of its new Storm Glasgow Argyle Street site, which allows brands to own full hours of display, as well as the ability to update copy every 10 seconds. The large format screen is enhanced with its own bespoke lighting and digital nameplate, allowing advertisers to truly own Storm Glasgow Argyle Street.

Storm, Clear Channel UK’s super-premium digital portfolio, includes 24 iconic structures in five of the largest cities in the UK.

“Glasgow’s ‘Style Mile’ is one of the most iconic shopping strips in Europe, and with the addition of a new, innovative LED display, advertisers have an opportunity to catch the eyes of visitors like never before,” said William Hall, CEO and co-founder of Ultravision. “We are excited to have teamed up with Clear Channel UK on this project and look forward to seeing how brands take advantage of the creative new options to connect with consumers.”

Ultravision’s Argyle Street digital billboard is the latest addition to its expanding portfolio of LED displays, which includes the largest LED display on Cromwell Road in London and several LED displays in New York’s Times Square.

“Our partnership with Ultravision continues to go from strength to strength with the latest addition to the Storm portfolio,” says Will Rammage, Portfolio Development Director at Clear Channel UK. “Brands now have a state-of-the-art LED display to run vibrant ad campaigns and leave a lasting impression on consumers in the famous ‘Style Mile’ shopping district.”
