Futuroscope: The Biggest Led Attraction in Europe That Has Won the Best Attraction in the World.
Futuroscope is a family-themed park based in Poitiers, France, emphasizing technology and 3D visual effects. Now, it features the giant 360-degree circular LED screen all over Europe, with their attraction: Tornado Hunters.
The immersive theater for the Chasseurs de Tornades (Tornado Hunters) at Futuroscope in Poitiers, France, uses over 800 Samsung-manufactured direct-view LED cabinets to give the audience the feeling that they're part of the adventurer's team of researchers that are in their all-terrain vehicle pursuing tornadoes.
The attraction itself is a 120-seat dynamic motion theatre surrounded by a 360-degree LED screen, with a dynamic rotating platform to let the audience come in and out, as well as see two live stage shows through the sliding doors, making guests come face-to-face with the intensity of a powerful tornado on the largest circular LED wall in Europe caused by Samsung; it measures 17 meters in diameter by eight meters high with a total surface area of 420 square meters.
"The circular screen we installed at Futuroscope is the largest LED project we have completed," said Jeremy Taghon, Head of CE B2B Division at Samsung Electronics France. "I am impressed by and thankful for the hard work and partnership between FMD and Samsung that brought this important technological milestone to life."
Futuroscope earned several international awards in 2022, including "Best New Ride" at the European Star Awards and "Best Product Innovation" as well as "Best Dark Ride or Media-based Experience" at the ParkWorld Excellence Awards. Additionally, it won "Outstanding Achievement" from the Themed Entertainment Association, an award considered the most significant reward for the best attraction in the world.
